The new stuff is solid, I quite enjoy some of the songs, I just dont really like the two songs on this list, Cut the Bridge is really annoying and good things go is just kinda boring, tho the rest of the album is definitely solid

No matter what you think about her, she IS a member of the band, so she's eligible for this list, and frankly she is a great singer. Maybe not the best fit for some of their older material, but she slays it on the album, in fact she is one of the best parts of it.

LP died the moment she became their voice.

How did LP die when she became the singer? They were basically done for a while, literally "dead". And Emily is a very good fit, she's essentialy the female version of Chester, tho her voice carries a lot less emotion, I'll give you that. But the band is happy, their tour is huge, the album is really solid, I mean the Emptiness Machine is like one of the best songs they've done in ages. I don't really see how you think they died with Emily joining

The band is happy because they continue on and get to exist. LP without Chester is not LP, shoulda renamed the band and have her as a vocal. I hate it when people are in it for fame and money, when Chester simply put his emotions into the song without caring for any of those. LP is dead whether she's vocal or not, nobody talks about LP anymore in case you didn't know. The band is barely breathing

@@nogardd Not really, when the album came out, EVERY music reviewer made a video about it, hell, some of them made videos on every single new song that came out, and why? Well, because it is a big deal to have them back, and also because everyone was talking about it, so it was easy views, and the videos are still coming up and still get a ton of views, because people are interested. I agree, money was probably a strong reason to return and not to rename the band, but like, if you were in a similar position you would do the same, and so would I, and so would everybody else. It wasn't band's fault that Chester did what he did and it is unfair to take their careers away from them. Also, One More Light was an obvious attempt to cash in, every rock band was going pop, so might as well, right? And that was the original lineup too, so trying to cash in has nothing to do with Emily. If anything, at least From Zero has a couple of good songs as opposed to the atrocity that is OML. As long as the songs are good, I don't care what their main motivations are.

Not really, even if you don't like Emily, she has a hell of a voice, while Mike isn't really that great of a singer, he's good, but also not very versatile and I find Emily's voice a lot more colorful than his. And by the range alone Emily smashes him.

Love Mike's voice, but Emily is way more versatile and has a much more powerful voice... technically speaking, she is the objective better

As a Singer she ist definitely better. Mike ist an awesome Rapper but His singing doesnt stand a Chance against Emilys. Her Voice Control is amazing. You could even argue that she is better than Chester if we Look only on her singing technique but chesters Voice can Carry Feelings and hurts right in the Heart and Emily is Missing that.

Well, first you need to know what sound is given to what number. If you press them in order (1-2-3-4...), you hear that it is a major scale. In fact, it is a C major scale, which you can verify for yourself in variety of ways, for example pressing number 1, and then press keys on the keyboard to see which one sounds the same. Then you know the rest since you can more easily conclude that the number are in a major scale. So number 2 is the note D, number 3 is the note E... 8 is again C, 9 is D and so on. To play something, you need to know how the song or a melody goes. I have decent music education and am playing a couple of instruments, so I already know how to play all of the songs I play on a phone on a guitar. Not every song will work, however, since its just a C major scale. Imagine if you had a keyboard with no black keys. Thats pretty much what you have for a phone keyboard. So the song needs to be written entierely in a major scale, or entirely in modes of the major scale (dorian, phrygian,...). No harmonic minors for example, no melodic minors, not any exotic scale really. Hope you found that at least a little useful.

It is a good listen, but its not really a main studio album, so I didn't consider it for this list. It would probably be 5th place on it tbh. But I see why you like it so much, it is enjoyable.

Cool list, definitely prefer older Seether, I just find their new stuff to be a rehash and I feel like I've heard those songs already from them a couple of times, and better versions too. Except for Holding Onto Strings, I find it so incredibly dull on its own merits.

I think those are fair points. Surface in particular suffers from repetition, particularly in the choruses. But it also gave me Judas Mind and Try to Heal which are now two of my all time favorite Seether songs. I don't mind Holding Onto Strings. I actually think the softer songs on that record work really well. Isolate and Medicate just has bad and lazy songwriting imo which is why it's my least favorite. I like the aggression on Poison the Parish but I find it to be kind of a bore to listen to these days besides a few songs. I think their 2000s albums and Para Bellum are their best work.

Yeah, but rock is not really the most popular genre anymore, and Seether is definitely not that talked out even in rock circles, so it is expected not to find many young fans these days. Tho here in Croatia, where I live, not many people have even heard the name Seether, let alone listen to them. Not necessarily my favorite either, but i have a lot of love for them, and I'm glad y'all are leaving your lists and opinions too:))
